Robert Braley is now an established fine art photographer with travel and documentary images as a focus.
Born in 1951 in Georgetown, Washington D.C., moving to Southern California in the late 1950s and to Alaska in 1985 he has retired from the United States Air Force and Federal Civil Service. Having visited all the states and territiries of the United States and twenty-two countries throughout the world Robert has an extensive archive of images from those travels. Today he continues to travel and return to many locations looking for specific seasonal images.
As a certified Historian and Historical property custodian with the National Guard, United States Air Force and United States Army museums, Robert has a unique interest in photographing old military sites, structures and equipment. In the past five years, Robert has been working on a special project photographing the Alaska Highway which was constructed during WWII by the United States Army.
